Crystal Cox, PA has many years of experience caring for children. She trained at the Stanford Primary Care Associate Program and became a Physicians Assistant (PA) in 1990. She then spent three years working in Family Practice at community clinics in Merced and Los Banos, CA. In 1992, she became an exclusive Pediatric provider and began working at Natividad Medical Center, both as a primary care provider as well as teaching Pediatrics to Family Practice Residents.
These early experiences led Crystal to return to Stanford as a clinical instructor for the PA program for the next 2 years, while also working at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. In that position, she was given the opportunity to work in the community with the school based mobile clinic as well as within the juvenile justice system medical ward. While working at Stanford, she met and married Dr. James Pyskaty. It was his job as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Marin General Hospital that brought her to Marin County. She has been a part of the Tamalpais Pediatrics team since 2000, and is an important part of our efforts to provide your children with excellent care.
In her spare time Crystal enjoys llamas, planting, tending to her pumpkins, and planning her next Halloween party. She has a son in college and 2 fabulous cats.
