Dr. Erin Heath is a Bay Area native, growing up and attending public schools in Hayward, where her family still lives. She attended Bryn Mawr College, majoring in Cultural Anthropology. Dr. Heath then returned to the Bay Area, getting her medical degree at UCSF. She remained there for residency, and also did a chief residency at the Mount Zion and San Francisco General campuses at UCSF. After completing residency, she joined Tamalpais Pediatrics in 1991, and in 2008, had the pleasure of seeing her first patient from her San Francisco and then Marin practice head off to college.

After spending 20 years in San Francisco, she now lives in San Rafael with her husband and daughter. She keeps up her Spanish both at the office and working at her daughter’s school. Dr. Heath is currently the Chair of the Pediatric Department at Marin General Hospital.
